“It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” says Seth, a respiratory therapist at Frederick Health Hospital.
What does a respiratory therapist do?
“A respiratory therapist does anything from NEB (nebulizer) treatment inhalers, doing intubations with the doctors. drawing blood from an artery, and providing life support.” Watch Seth on YouTube Shorts.
Would you recommend being a respiratory therapist to others?
“Definitely, we need more health care workers out there. So definitely go into respiratory.”
You said you wanted to be a nurse originally, so how did you find out about respiratory?
“I always knew I wanted to do something in the health care field, just didn’t know what. I was on my way to being a nurse, when I found out about respiratory. And it was probably the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I absolutely love what I do.” Watch Seth’s story on Facebook or TikTok.
