Meritus Health Partnering with Washington County High School Students
Meritus Medical Center located in Hagerstown, Md. recently released a podcast interview with Washington County Public Schools on a new apprenticeship program being offered to high school students. In this episode, President and CEO Maulik Joshi, Dr. P.H. discusses the importance of programs and partnerships like this one with WCPS Superintendent Dr. David Sovine. McDaniel College Receives Approval for BSN Program
Are you interested in pursuing a career in health care or nursing? McDaniel College has received approval from the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) to develop a comprehensive four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. It’s expected to launch in Fall 2024. “The program aims to prepare students for licensure and entry into nursing while addressing the current shortage of nurses in Carroll County and its surrounding areas,” according to The Baltimore Sun article.
The program is in close partnership with Carroll Community College and Carroll Hospital (LifeBridge Health), and plans to assist the health care needs of the community.
